Farmer’s Market is Full of Fun and Flavor

It’s impossible to get the “Monday Blues” in Hayward. There’s too much fun going on to realize it’s even a Monday! Whether you’re soaking up the sun out on the lake or shopping downtown, there’s something for everyone. I’ve written about all the action going on at the Flea Market, so if you haven’t checked that out, be sure to do that! Today, I’m going to focus on the Monday Farmer’s Market. With July coming to a close, the market is full of fun and flavor.

Currently located in Gordy’s parking lot, the farmer’s market begins at 11:30 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon. There was so much to see and taste! Stalls held everything from homemade honey to handcrafted goat milk soap. The homemade noodles were more than tempting. I left with a couple of bags of some of the best cookies I’ve ever had. There were also beautifully colored flowers and great looking hastas.

Everyone was happy to be outside and soaking up the summer sun. It was a beautiful day to be outside and wander between the stalls, stocking up on goodies. Being only a few blocks from downtown shopping and full of tasty surprises, be sure to add the Farmer’s Market to your next Monday “To Do” list!
