 The lake covers 3,100 acres with a maximum depth of 60 feet. Fishing includes every species known in northern Wisconsin --the big game fish including musky,
northern and walleye as well as bass, bluegill, and perch.
According to a survey
conducted by the DNR Grindstone Lake is in the "Trophy Class." The lake is spring-fed from Grindstone Creek and remains sparkling clean and clear well into late fall. The sandy beach has no drop-off and is perfect for swimming and sun
bathing, With lots of southern exposure. |
 Modern housekeeping cabins are available for weekly rent from Saturday to Saturday and occasionally for long weekends. Two- and three-bedroom units are located 10 to 20 feet from the shoreline. Each cabin is carpeted and has a fully equipped kitchen, shower and Cable TV.
The boat landing has several docks and a cement boat ramp for those who wish to use their own boats. Cabin guests are asked to provide their own soap and towels. All other linens are furnished. Boat and motor rental available.

Norwood Haven is surrounded by approximately 7 acres of beautiful, scenic, natural forest land. Walking and jogging trails provide a great way to take in all the beauty that nature so abundantly provides for each season. There are many picnic and sitting areas spread out along the grounds for your enjoyment. Wildlife abounds with deer, raccoons, eagles, foxes, and even bear are occasionally seen.
Unique features are the old wooden trestle bridge that spans the road to the boat landing, and lights up every night at sundown.

Unique architecture, all cedar with open beams describes Norwood Haven's spacious lodge. Each end has a large
custom fireplace with a full liquor bar in the center.
The motel rooms are for rent by the night. Each unit is made of cedar with open beam ceilings, fully carpeted, a full ceramic bath with tub and shower, individual heating units, Cable TV and a panoramic view of the lake.
The lodge and motel rooms are surrounded by a large deck facing the lake, for cooking out on the grill or for just plain sitting.
