The forecast predicts a mostly good week ahead, with highs ranging from 31 to 67 degrees, lows from 16 to 44 degrees, and a mix of sunshine and rain chances. However, a storm system slated to arrive Friday through Sunday that could include snow ‑ definitely North Woods’ spring weather!

What a difference a week makes! Monday afternoon the temperature hit a high of 49 degrees. One week ago, the forecast was for 0 degrees high and a low of -29 degrees! Quite the serious shift! This week brings highs in the low 40s and lows in the 20s, with chances for sunshine, snow, and rain throughout the week ‑ a taste of early spring! Enjoy!

The Hayward area received 5-8 inches of much-needed snowfall over the weekend. This week’s forecast calls for low temperatures from -5 to -21 degrees, and highs ranging from 5 to 20 degrees, with more snow possible Friday. Snow and mild temperatures over the weekend will give way to colder temperatures, with lows in the single-digit to subzero, and highs mostly in the upper teens to mid-20s. More snow up to four inches is in the current forecast for Wednesday, but always subject to change.

This week’s forecast calls for mild temperatures thru Sunday, with chances for both snow and sunshine. It includes highs from 29 degrees Wednesday to 41 degrees Thursday, but as always, subject to change!

Subzero temperatures continue through Tuesday and with nighttime lows, but highs turn a bit warmer in the coming days. There is a chance of snow Tuesday, but with wind chill values approaching -40 degrees. It is winter in the North Woods, with some sunshine, though with very little snow ‑ so far. Subzero lows start the week following six inches of weekend snow, but highs shift to mid-30s Thursday and Friday, with no snow in the forecast.
