The North Woods has enjoyed a very pleasant fall, but some changes are in transit, from 80 degrees Monday and 71 Tuesday, to a clear and sunny high of 49 degrees Wednesday!

This week begins on the cooler end, and while there are a few slight chances for rain showers, the forecast shows mostly sunshine ‑ and 70 degrees next Monday!

The forecast predicts another dry and sunny week ahead, with high temperatures ranging from 64-72 degrees and lows from 31-54 degrees.

Cooling temperatures are in the immediate forecast for this week, with highs in the mid to upper 60s and low 70s, and lows in the 30s.

High temperatures this week drop to mid-70s from mid-80s last week, but sunny and very nice late September weather for outdoor recreation!

The forecast calls for another beautiful week, with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the 50s. Slight chances of rain appear toward the end of the week and weekend, along with a cooling trend.

This could be the best week of summer so far! Sunshine, highs in the low to mid-80s, lows in the mid-50s, and not a chance of rain showing until Saturday.

Fishing in general is good for most species, cooling temperatures this week will affect them in one way or another.

Musky fishing is tough, and at this time all fish catches on our musky board are by anglers using bass and walleye size baits, both live and artificial. Fish are still in and around shallow structure, and small inline spinners are great for finding active fish.

Fishing is improving with water temperatures dropping to the low 70s and less fishing pressure. Enjoy the cooler temps on the water!
