“Late fall” weather in the North Woods is a guessing game this year, with recent temperatures offering wide fluctuations from subzero lows to highs in the mid-40s. Colder temperatures return mid-week and through the weekend, with lows from -1 to 20 degrees, and highs from 16 to 33 degrees.

December temperatures are near the average, though turning colder mid-week, with Wednesday and Thursday nighttime lows pushing -8 degrees. Warmer temperatures return Saturday, and most chances of snow for this week, at this time, are for flurries and no appreciable accumulation.

This week’s forecast shows temperature fluctuations from a high of 30 to a low of 1 degree. A couple days of sunshine, flurries common, and no accumulation at this time, and always subject to change… and usually does. Some significant weather changes, with dropping temperatures and rain/snow mixes, start mid-week.

Sunshine and blue skies start the week, rain falls mid-week, and more sun to end the week (maybe thru the weekend). High temperatures run from 42-52 degrees, with lows 25-34 degrees. Not bad for mid-November weather.

Rain is falling and will continue to fall (maybe) through Tuesday night.

Enjoy Tuesday’s sunshine and 75 degrees, as you might not see the sun again until Friday when it is 48 degrees, followed by chances for rain showers through the weekend.

The North Woods has enjoyed a very pleasant fall, but some changes are in transit, from 80 degrees Monday and 71 Tuesday, to a clear and sunny high of 49 degrees Wednesday!

This week begins on the cooler end, and while there are a few slight chances for rain showers, the forecast shows mostly sunshine ‑ and 70 degrees next Monday!

The forecast predicts another dry and sunny week ahead, with high temperatures ranging from 64-72 degrees and lows from 31-54 degrees.
