This week offers mild weather for anglers who choose to take advantage of the pleasant fishing conditions.

While open water fishing season is winding down, it is not over yet. Conditions are not for everyone, but this is the time to catch big fish.

Fishing conditions are a bit less comfortable with the abrupt weather change, but fishing remains good for those still hitting the water

Musky fishing is tough, and at this time all fish catches on our musky board are by anglers using bass and walleye size baits, both live and artificial. Fish are still in and around shallow structure, and small inline spinners are great for finding active fish.

Fishing remains good for most species IF an angler chooses to fish during the times and in the locations when and where fish are active.

Fishing for most species is good and getting better as the water cools ‑ and nighttime temperatures in the low 30s are doing just that.

Fishing is fair to good, depending on the species. Look for water temperatures to drop as colder weather moves into the area this week.
